- In The Chair: Geiss The Senate agreed to the title of the bill. The following bill was read a third time: Senate Bill No. 618, entitled A bill to amend 1949 PA 300, entitled “Michigan vehicle code,” (MCL 257.1 to 257.923) by adding section 79g. The question being on the passage of the bill, Senator McBroom offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 2, following line 5, by inserting: “ (e) A United States Postal Service employee or contractor operating a vehicle on that individual’s rural postal route in the course of delivering mail or parcels. ”. The amendment was adopted, a majority of the members serving voting therefor.
