- Senator Singh raised the Point of Order that House Bill No. 6058 amends the publicly funded health insurance contribution act. Because the act does not address these types of covered medical care, this offered amendment isn’t germane to the bill. The President pro tempore, Senator Moss, ruled that the offered amendment is not germane. Senator Hauck offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 3, following line 14, by inserting: “(4) A local unit of government that increases local wages above the statewide minimum wage must increase its contribution to the medical benefit plan to 100%.”. The question being on the adoption of the amendment, Senator Lauwers requested the yeas and nays. The yeas and nays were ordered, 1/5 of the members present voting therefor.
