Senator Lindsey asked and was granted unanimous consent to make a statement. Point of Order Senator Singh raised the Point of Order that the speaker needs to keep to the content of the bill. The President pro tempore, Senator Moss, ruled that the speaker needs to keep to the content of the policies of the bill. By unanimous consent the Senate returned to consideration of the following bill: House Bill No. 4485, entitled A bill to amend 1927 PA 175, entitled “The code of criminal procedure,” by amending section 24 of chapter VII (MCL 767.24), as amended by 2018 PA 182.
