Rep. Frederick moved to amend the title to read as follows: A bill to levy and collect a specific tax upon the rental of certain heavy equipment rental personal property; to provide for the disposition of that specific tax; to provide for the powers and duties of certain state and local governmental officers and entities; and to provide penalties. The motion prevailed. The House agreed to the title as amended. Rep. Frederick moved that the bill be given immediate effect. The motion prevailed, 2/3 of the members serving voting therefor. House Bill No. 4834, entitled A bill to amend 1893 PA 206, entitled “The general property tax act,” (MCL 211.1 to 211.155) by adding section 9p.
