Young, having reserved the right to explain her protest against the passage of the bill, made the following statement: “Mr. Speaker and members of the House: I have serious concerns about a private entity profiting from a public resource. To my understanding, MDOT is currently developing their plan for automated vehicle lanes.” House Bill No. 5938, entitled A bill to amend 1976 PA 388, entitled “Michigan campaign finance act,” by repealing section 30 (MCL 169.230).
