- Resolved by the Senate, That we memorialize the Congress of the United States to change the formula for distributing coronavirus emergency relief funds for schools to allow states to distribute funds on a more equitable basis; and be it further Resolved, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to the President of the United States Senate, the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, and the Michigan congressional delegation. Pending the order that, under rule 3.204, the resolution be referred to the Committee on Government Operations, Senator Lauwers moved that the rule be suspended. The motion prevailed, a majority of the members serving voting therefor. The resolution was not adopted. Senator Lauwers moved to reconsider the vote by which the resolution was not adopted. The motion prevailed. The question being on the adoption of the resolution, Senator Bizon requested the yeas and nays. The yeas and nays were ordered, 1/5 of the members present voting therefor.
