Resolved, That we encourage county prosecutors to fill the gap left by the Attorney General and pursue appropriate and reasonable investigations into the Governor’s nursing home policy and the reported data on deaths in nursing homes; and be it further Resolved, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to the Michigan Attorney General and the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan. Pending the order that, under rule 3.204, the resolution be referred to the Committee on Government Operations, Senator Lauwers moved that the rule be suspended. The motion prevailed, a majority of the members serving voting therefor. The question being on the adoption of the resolution, Senator Hertel offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 2, line 13, by striking out all of lines 13 through 19. The amendment was not adopted. Senator Chang requested the yeas and nays. The yeas and nays were ordered, 1/5 of the members present voting therefor. The amendment was not adopted, a majority of the members not voting therefor, as follows:
