By unanimous consent the Senate returned to the order of Third Reading of Bills By unanimous consent the Senate returned to consideration of the following bill: House Bill No. 4359, entitled A bill to amend 1978 PA 368, entitled “Public health code,” by amending sections 17210 and 17708 (MCL 333.17210 and 333.17708), section 17210 as amended by 2017 PA 22 and section 17708 as amended by 2020 PA 4. (This bill was read a third time earlier today and consideration postponed. See p. 1003.) The question being on the passage of the bill, Sen ator Nesbitt offered the following amendment: 1. Amend page 3, line 23, after “ services ” by inserting “ and ensuring that a qualified health care professional is immediately available in person or through telemedicine to address any urgent or emergent clinical concerns ”. The amendment was adopted, a majority of the members serving voting therefor.
