- Representative Rendon moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 2, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HCR 2 before the committee: HCR 2 (Rep. Vaupel) A concurrent resolution to declare Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) a critical health issue, commit the Legislature to action, and encourage the Governor to direct agencies to assess and report progress on reducing ACEs. The following individuals submitted a testimony card in support of HCR 2, but did not wish to speak: Amy Zaagman, Executive Director for the Michigan Council for Maternal and Child Health, and Jared Burkhart, Executive Director of the Michigan Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics.
