Representative O'Malley moved to adopt the meeting minutes from December 10, 2019. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid SB 650 and SB 651 before the committee: SB 650 (Sen. Theis) A bill to amend 1979 PA 94, entitled "The state school aid act of 1979," by amending section 23a (MCL 388.1623a), as amended by 2018 PA 586. SB 651 (Sen. Moss) A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled "The revised school code," by amending section 1231 (MCL 380.1231), as amended by 2018 PA 235, and by adding section 1230i. Senator Moss testified in support of SB 650 and SB 651. Questions and discussion followed. Greg Harp, representing Graduation Alliance, testified in support of SB 650 and SB 651. Questions and discussion followed.
