The Chair laid HB 4588 before the committee: HB 4588 (Rep. Webber) A bill to amend 1968 PA 251, entitled "Cemetery regulation act," by amending section 10 (MCL 456.530), as amended by 2008 PA 478. At 10:42 a.m., the Chair laid the committee at ease. At 10:43 a.m., Majority Vice Chair Berman called the committee back to order. Representative Webber testified in support of HB 4588; David Bertram, representing Michigan State University, testified in support of HB 4588. Questions and discussion followed. Jay Tower, representing the Michigan Cemetery Association, and David Krall, representing the White Chapel Memorial in Troy, testified in opposition to HB 4588. Questions and discussion followed.
