- Representative Cavanagh moved to adopt the meeting minutes from May 26, 2021. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4646 before the committee: HB 4646 (Rep. Bolden) A bill to amend 1992 PA 147, entitled "Neighborhood enterprise zone act," by amending sections 2 and 3 (MCL 207.772 and 207.773), section 2 as amended by 2020 PA 3 and section 3 as amended by 2008 PA 204. Representative Bolden testified in support of HB 4646. The Chair laid HB 4647 before the committee: HB 4647 (Rep. Sabo) A bill to provide for the establishment of attainable housing districts in certain local governmental units; to provide for the exemption from certain taxes; to levy and collect a specific tax upon the owners of certain qualified facilities; to provide for the disposition of the tax; to provide for the obtaining and transferring of an exemption certificate and to prescribe the contents of those certificates; to prescribe the powers and duties of certain state and local governmental officials; and to provide penalties.
