The Chair laid SB 273 and SB 278 before the committee: SB 273 (Sen. Johnson) A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled "Michigan election law," (MCL 168.1 to 168.992) by adding section 761e. SB 278 (Sen. MacDonald) A bill to amend 1954 PA 116, entitled "Michigan election law," by amending section 761d (MCL 168.761d), as added by 2020 PA 177. Senator Johnson and Senator MacDonald testified in support of SB 273 and SB 278. Questions and discussion followed. The following people submitted a card in support of SB 273 and SB 278, but did not wish to speak: Patrice Johnson, representing Pure Integrity for Michigan Elections.
