The Chair laid HB 4382 and HB 4383 before the committee: HB 4382 (Rep. HB 4383 (Rep. VanderWall) A bill to amend 1956 PA 40, entitled "The drain code of 1956," by amending sections 559, 560, 561, 562, 563, 564, 565, 569, 570, 571, 572, 573, 574, 576, 577, 578, 580, 581, 582, and 583 (MCL 280.559, 280.560, 280.561, 280.562, 280.563, 280.564, 280.565, 280.569, 280.570, 280.571, 280.572, 280.573, 280.574, 280.576, 280.577, 280.578, 280.580, 280.581, 280.582, and 280.583), section 569 as amended by 2016 PA 27, and by adding sections 561b, 561d, 564b, and 569b; and to repeal acts and parts of acts. Representative Morse, and Stacy Hissong, representing the Michigan Association of County Drain Commissioners, testified in support of HB 4382 and HB 4383. Questions and discussion followed.
