- Representative Breen moved to adopt the meeting minutes from June 21, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4861 before the committee: HB 4861 (Rep. Snyder) A bill to require the state administrative board to release restrictions on real property in Muskegon County; to provide for the powers and duties of certain state departments in regard to the property; and to provide for disposition of revenue. Representative Snyder, Mark Eisenbarth, Muskegon County Administrator, Bridget Clark Whitney, President and CEO, Kids' Food Basket, and Scott Hogan, Muskegon County Attorney testified in support of HB 4861. Questions and discussion followed. The following person submitted a card with no position on HB 4861, but did not wish to speak: Neil DeSouza, representing the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget. The Chair laid HB 4860 before the committee: HB 4860 (Rep. Mentzer) A bill to amend 1947 PA 359, entitled "The charter township act," by amending section 7 (MCL 42.7), as amended by 1992 PA 15.
