Representative Paiz moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 25, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 5147 before the committee: HB 5147 (Rep. Rheingans) A bill to amend 2015 PA 45, entitled "Higher education authorization and distance education reciprocal exchange act," by repealing section 7 (MCL 390.1697). Representative Rheingans and Dan Hurley, Chief Executive Officer of the Michigan Association of State Universities, testified in support of HB 5147. Questions and discussion followed.
