- Representative Hoskins moved to adopt the meeting minutes from January 18, 2024. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid the presentation from the Michigan Department of State before the committee. Deputy Secretary Aghogho Edevbie, and Virginia Henry, Director of the Driver Education and Testing Section, provided a presentation on the Oversight Process and State Regulation of Private Driving Schools. Questions and discussion followed. Chris Dimanin, representing himself as a former Drivers' Training Instructor, provided testimony on the Oversight Process and State Regulation of Private Driving Schools. Brandon Semrau, representing the Courtesy Driving School, provided testimony on the Oversight Process and State Regulation of Private Driving Schools. Questions and discussion followed.
