The Chair laid HB 5594 before the committee: HB 5594 (Rep. Skaggs) A bill to amend 1978 PA 90, entitled "Youth employment standards act," by amending sections 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, and 20 (MCL 409.102, 409.104, 409.105, 409.107, 409.108, and 409.120), section 2 as amended by 1996 PA 438, section 4 as amended by 2011 PA 80, and section 5 as amended by 2020 PA 323, and by adding sections 4a, 4b, 4c, and 4d. Representative Skaggs testified in support of HB 5594. Questions and discussion followed. Jayshona Hicks, Sean Egan, and Randall Harrison, representing the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, testified in support of HB 5594. Questions and discussion followed.
