MacDonell) A bill to amend 1986 PA 316, entitled "Michigan education trust act," by amending sections 4 and 8 (MCL 390.1424 and 390.1428), section 8 as amended by 2004 PA 388. HB 5783 (Rep. Morse) A bill to amend 2000 PA 161, entitled "Michigan education savings program act," by amending sections 2 and 16 (MCL 390.1472 and 390.1486), section 2 as amended by 2010 PA 6. Representative MacDonnell testified in support of HBs 5782 and 5783. Amanda West, representing the Michigan Department of Treasury, Diane Brewer, Executive Director of the Michigan Education Trust, and Robin Lott, Bureau Director of the Office of Postsecondary Financial Planning, testified in support of HBs 5782 and 5783.
