The Chair laid a Presentation from Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance before the committee. Nikki Devitt, Christopher Martin, Haley Bennett, and Christopher Germain, representing the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance, provided a presentation on the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance. Questions and discussions followed. The Chair laid HB 4055, HB 4056, HB 4057, HB 4058 and HB 4059 before the committee: HB 4055 (Rep. Schuette) A bill to amend 1967 PA 281, entitled "Income tax act of 1967," (MCL 206.1 to 206.847) by adding section 275. HB 4056 (Rep. Schuette) A bill to create a child care savings program; to provide for child care savings accounts; to prescribe the powers and duties of certain state agencies, boards, and departments; to allow certain tax deductions; and to provide for penalties and remedies. HB 4057 (Rep. Schuette) A bill to amend 1967 PA 281, entitled "Income tax act of 1967," by amending section 30 (MCL 206.30), as amended by 2023 PA 4.
