- Representative Frisbie moved to adopt the meeting minutes from September 16, 2025. There being no objection, the motion prevailed with unanimous consent. The Chair laid HB 4088 before the committee: HB 4088 (Rep. Slagh) A bill to amend 1967 PA 281, entitled "Income tax act of 1967," by amending section 520 (MCL 206.520), as amended by 2015 PA 179. Representative Slagh testified in support of HB 4088. Questions and discussion followed. The following person submitted a card in support of HB 4088, but did not wish to speak: Brad Ward, representing Michigan Realtors. The Chair laid HB 4041 before the committee: HB 4041 (Rep. Tyrone Carter) A bill to amend 1893 PA 206, entitled "The general property tax act," by amending section 7u (MCL 211.7u), as amended by 2023 PA 191. Representative Tyrone Carter, joined by Alvin Horhn, representing the City of Detroit Office of the Assessor, testified in support of the proposed (H-2) substitute for HB 4041. Questions and discussion followed.
