- **DRAFT** COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES April 25, 2023 A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on DHHS was scheduled for Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 8:30 a.m., in the Rooms 402/403, Capitol Building. The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Referred SB 190 ( Santana) to the Committee on Appropriations, with recommendation as substituted (S-1). The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:31 a.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Santana, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Irwin, Cavanagh, Cherry, Bayer, Outman, Huizenga, Hauck and Theis, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bayer, supported by Sen. Cherry, to adopt the meeting minutes from April 11, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to provide an overview of SB 190 (S-1): Ellyn Ackerman, Humphrey Akujobi, and John Maxwell, Senate Fiscal Agency – No Position The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Bayer, supported by Sen. Cavanagh, to adopt the (S-1) version of SB 190. The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Santana, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Irwin, Cavanagh, Cherry, and Bayer. Nays: Sen.(s) Outman, Huizenga, Hauck, and Theis. The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Cherry, supported by Sen. Bayer, to refer SB 190 to the Committee on Appropriations, with recommendation as substituted (S-1). The vote was as follows: Yeas: Chair Santana, Sen.(s) McDonald Rivet, Irwin, Cavanagh, Cherry, and Bayer. Nays: Sen.(s) Outman, Huizenga, Hauck, and Theis.
