- HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES COMMITTEE ON OVERSIGHT REP. STEVEN JOHNSON CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, October 21, 2021 10:30 AM Room 326, House Office Building The House Committee on Oversight was called to order by Chair Steven Johnson. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Steven Johnson, Outman, Hoitenga, Reilly, O'Malley, Wozniak, Brixie, LaGrand,Young. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representatives Hoitenga and LaGrand joined the committee remotely. Representative Outman moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 14, 2021. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid the discussion on Drinking Water Safety Issues in the City of Benton Harbor before the committee. Liesl Clark, and Eric Oswald, representing the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, testified in regard to the discussion on Drinking Water Safety Issues in the City of Benton Harbor. Questions and discussion followed. Bishop James Atterberry, testified in regard to the discussion on Drinking Water Safety Issues in the City of Benton Harbor. Mayor Marcus Muhammad, Alexander Little, and Chris Cook, representing the City of Benton Harbor, testified in regard to the discussion on Drinking Water Safety Issues in the City of Benton Harbor. Questions and discussion followed. Reverend Carlton Lynch, wished to testify in regard to the discussion on Drinking Water Safety Issues in the City of Benton Harbor. But was unable to, due to time constraints. There being no further business before the committee, Rep. Steven Johnson adjourned the meeting at 11:57 AM.
