A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Military, Veterans,
State Police was scheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in the Room 403 of the 4th Floor
The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:30 p.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time,
the following members were present: Chair Hertel and Sen. Klinefelt
The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Klinefelt, supported by Senator Hertel, to adopt the meeting minutes
from March 11, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted.
The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Klinefelt, supported by Senator Hertel, to adopt the (S-1 ) version of
SB175. The vote was as follows:
Yeas: Chair Hertel and Sen. Klinefelt
Nays: None
Excused: None
Not Voting: Sen. Theis
The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted.
Bruce Baker provided an overview of the Chair's Recommendation for the FY 2025-26 Department of Military
and Veteran Affairs Budget (SB175).
The Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Klinefelt, to report the S-1 version of SB175 to the Committee
on Appropriations with recommendation as substituted (S-1). The vote was as follows:
Yeas: Chair Hertel and Sen. Klinefelt
Nays: None
Pass: None
The motion prevailed and the bill was referred.
The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Klinefelt, supported by Senator Hertel, to adopt the (S-1) version of
SB176. The vote was as follows:

The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Klinefelt, supported by Senator Hertel, to excuse absent members
from the meeting. Without objection, Senator Theis was excused from the meeting.
There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Klinefelt,
to adjourn the committee at 1:54 p.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
