A meeting of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Appropriations Subcommittee on LEO/MEDC was
scheduled for Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the Room 1300 of the Binsfeld Office Building
The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:05 p.m.. The Chair instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time,
the following members were present: Chair Cavanagh, Sen.(s) McCann, McMorrow, Camilleri, Cherry,
Huizenga and Bumstead
The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Cavanagh, supported by Senator McCann, to adopt the meeting
minutes from March 19, 2025. Without objection, the minutes were adopted.
Cory Savino provided an overview of the Chair's Recommendation for the FY 2025-26 Department of Labor
and Economic Opportunity Budget (SB179).
The Chair entertained a motion by Senator Camilleri, supported by Senator McMorrow, to adopt the (S-1)
version of SB179. The vote was as follows:
Yeas: Chair Cavanagh, Sen.(s) McCann, McMorrow, Camilleri, Cherry, Huizenga and Bumstead
Nays: None
Excused: None
Not Voting: None
The motion prevailed and the (S-1) was adopted.
The Chair made a motion, supported by Senator Cherry, to report the S-1 version of SB179 to the Committee on
Appropriations with recommendation as substituted (S-1). The vote was as follows:
Yeas: Chair Cavanagh, Sen.(s) McCann, McMorrow, Camilleri and Cherry
Nays: Sen.(s) Huizenga and Bumstead
Pass: None
The motion prevailed and the bill was referred.
There being no further business before the committee, the Chair made a motion, supported by Senator McCann,
to adjourn the committee at 1:22 p.m. Without objection, the committee was adjourned.
