Gast Appropriations Room. The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:02 p.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair McCann, Sen.(s) Irwin, McDonald Rivet, Albert and Damoose, a quorum was present. Senator Irwin moved to excuse absent members. Without objection, absent members were excused. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding the Governor's Recommendation for the fiscal year 2023-24 budgets for Higher Education and Community Colleges: Beth Bullion and Rebecca McDonald, State Budget Office Senators McCann, Irwin, and Albert asked a number of questions regarding their presentation to Ms. Bullion and Ms. McDonald.
