The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Testimony regarding SB 328 (Sen. Hertel). 2. Testimony regarding SB 466 (Sen. McDonald Rivet) 3. Testimony regarding HB 4561 (Rep. Liberati). The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.. He instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Moss, Sen.(s) Polehanki, McCann, Wojno, Santana, Hertel, Hauck, Webber, Lauwers and Bellino, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Polehanki to adopt the meeting minutes from June 13, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited Senator Hertel to explain SB 328. Member questions followed The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding SB 328: Erika Scheffer, Carrier Kidde – Support The Chair read the cards of those individuals not wishing to testify before the committee regarding SB 328: Derek Dalling, The Home Depot – Support The Chair invited Senator McDonald Rivet to explain Senate Bill 466. Member questions followed. The Chair invited Ashley Cecil from Representative Liberati to explain House Bill 4561. The Chair invited the following individuals to present testimony regarding HB 4561: Michael Mitchell, Markham Enterprises Inc – Opposed Jerry Griffin, Michigan Independent Retailers Association – Opposed Shelley Stahl, Anheuser-Busch – Support David Marvin, Michigan Liquor Control Commission – Neutral Page 1 of 2 Brett Visner, Michigan Beer and Wine Wholesalers – Support There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
