The payments shall be used as determined by said local unit for any police or fire public safety, parks and recreation, or infrastructure. The host community agreement is legally binding. The host community agreement and the annual payments required thereby shall continue until the decommissioning of the energy facility. The commission shall enforce this requirement.". The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Neeley, Farhat, Brixie, Brenda Carter, Whitsett, Grant, Price, VanWoerkom, Markkanen, Outman, Tisdel, Hoadley. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Farhat moved to adopt the meeting minutes from October 11, 2023. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. The Chair laid SB 150 before the committee: SB 150 (Sen. Chang) A bill to amend 1973 PA 186, entitled "Tax tribunal act," by amending section 62 (MCL 205.762), as amended by 2008 PA 128. Ellen Heinitz, representing Senator Chang's Office, and Patricia Halm, representing the Michigan Tax Tribunal, testified in support of SB 150. The following people submitted a card in support of SB 150, but did not wish to speak: Nathan Triplett, representing the State Bar of Michigan. Mack Jonas, representing the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. Amanda Tomich, representing the Michigan Assessors Association.
