FELICIA BRABEC CHAIR COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Thursday, March 2, 2023 9:00 AM Room 519, House Office Building The House Health Policy Subcommittee on Behavioral Health was called to order by Chair Brabec. The Clerk read a letter from Representative Julie M. Rogers, Chair, Health Policy Committee, which appointed members of the House Health Policy Subcommittee on Behavioral Health. The Chair requested attendance be called: Present: Reps. Brabec, Arbit, Pohutsky, Glanville, Edwards, MacDonell, Rheingans, Schmaltz, Hoadley, St. Germaine, Thompson. Absent: None. Excused: None. Representative Arbit moved to adopt Thursday at 9:00 a.m. in Room 519 of the House Office Building as the day, time, and location for regularly scheduled meetings of the House Health Policy Subcommittee on Behavioral Health. The motion prevailed 11-0-0: FAVORABLE ROLL CALL Yeas: Reps. Brabec, Arbit, Pohutsky, Glanville, Edwards, MacDonell, Rheingans, Schmaltz, Hoadley, St. Germaine, Thompson. Nays: None. Pass: None. Chair Brabec announced that the House Health Policy Subcommittee on Behavioral Health will follow the Uniform Committee rules, stated in the House Standing Rules, that were adopted on the House Floor. Chair Brabec introduced herself and welcomed the committee members. The Chair asked committee members to express their interest and priorities for the term. Chair Brabec laid before the committee presentations from Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics. Alan Bolter, Associate Director of the Community Mental Health Association of Michigan; Trish Cortes, Executive Director of Washtenaw County Community Mental Health; and Lisa Williams, Executive Director of West Michigan Community Mental Health; gave presentations to the committee. Questions and discussion followed. There being no further business before the subcommittee, Chair Brabec adjourned the meeting at 10:23 AM.
