The agenda summary is as follows: 1. Presentation by the American Legion Department of Michigan. The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the following members were present: Chair Klinefelt, Sen.(s) Hertel and Outman, a quorum was present. The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Outman to adopt the meeting minutes from March 8, 2023. Without objection, the minutes were adopted. The Chair invited the following individuals to give the committee a presentation: Tim Poxson, Michigan American Legion Legislative Chair Marilyn Britten, Michigan American Legion State Commander Gary Easterling, Director of the Service Officer Program American Legion Michigan The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Hertel to excuse absent members from the meeting. Without objection, Sen. Santana was excused from the meeting. There being no further business before the committee, the Chair moved to adjourn the committee.
