June 4, 2024
A meeting of the Senate Committee on Local Government was scheduled for Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 1:30
p.m., in the 1200 Room of the Binsfeld Office Building.
The agenda summary is as follows:
1.
Reported SB 705 (S-2) (Sen. Wojno) with recommendation.
2.
Testimony regarding HB 5203 (S-1) (Rep. Breen).
3.
Testimony regarding SB 660 (S-1) (Sen. Bayer).
The Chair called the meeting to order at 1:33 p.m. She instructed the Clerk to call the roll. At that time, the
following members were present: Chair Klinefelt, Sen.(s) Wojno, Moss, Bayer, Shink, Hoitenga and Daley, a
quorum was present.
The Chairman entertained a motion by Sen. Wojno to adopt the meeting minutes from May 14, 2024. Without
objection the minutes were adopted.
The Chair brought up SB 705 (S-2), and invited Sen. Wojno to summarize the bill and the (S-2).
The cards were read of those individuals not wishing to present testimony regarding SB 705:

The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Moss to adopt the (S-2) version of SB 705. The vote was as follows:

Nays: None
The motion prevailed and the (S-2) was adopted.
The Chair entertained a motion by Sen. Wojno to report SB 705 (S-2) to the floor with recommendation that it
pass. The vote was as follows:

The motion prevailed and the bill was reported.
The Chair brough up HB 5203, and invited Rep. Breen to summarize the bill.
